St. Mary's lost in first innings. Kasun Sameera 79

Panadura St. Anthony's College recorded a first innings victory against St. Mary's College, Matugama in a match played in Matugama Public Ground on January 26 and 27.

St. Anthony's won the toss and made St. Mary's to bat first to bundle the Marians all out for 58. Malan Disanayaka clinging to one wicket batted 97 balls to score 24. Udara Madusanka - 17. Dumindu Erangs too 06 wickets for 13

St. Anthony's in reply scored 285 while Mhammed Shilmi scored superb 194 not out, a ground record score in Mathugama esplanade. He failed to score a deserved double century as the number 11 batsman was away from the crease when a straight drive played by Mohammed hit the wicket touching the bowler's hand.  Kushan Chathuranga 05 wickets for 52.

St. Mary's came back to form in the second innings scored 148 for 04 wickets as the end of the play. Kasun Samera scored 79. Malan Disanayaka not out 22.
